Anyone on the 20mbit/s yet?

On 20MB in Nottingham area (between Notts and Derby).

Getting 16.1Mbps average on newsgroups.

Belfast sorted indeed, well happy with that esp since my friend a few doors away is on BT 'up to 8 meg' and is getting around 2 haha

Getting awful speed results though on sites like speedtest.net and the like

Well I'm happily cruising along at the full 20mb now. It wasn't the 120 modem it turned out my router (wrt54gs v5 with ddwrt) isn't powerful enough to download at full speed whilst applying qos settings. Turning off qos fixed everything up just fine.

I suggest you don't use that site for 20Mbit tests. I always get 16Mbit with it and yet I can download at the full 20Mbit.

don't worry last month a majority of upgrades happened in the last few days of the month a couple even went a few days over

was getting the full 20MB at 8 this morning, get home from work and its terrible again, bring back my 10MB it statyed more constitant than this dribble mind you just look at the QOS 23 % !!

I was on 20M/bit connection and have been unable to use the service even though speed tests showed I had 700Kb/s the server kept timing out. I had downloads from 1492Kb/s to 2738Kb/s which is quite bad.

I went a few houses down and connected to a Toucan account and my computer flew and I was able to upload to my web site and the pages came up very quick,,not bad for a 8M/bit connection that was running at peak rate.

Today I contacted Virgin and asked for my connection speed to be reduced down to 4M/bit and guess what I’m back up and running with pages on this site coming-up after pressing return like it should.

They say that 20M/bit should be running ok after Tuesday when I hope to be seeing the pages before I hit return

I am in Gosport and on the 20mb. I did a reset on the modem and it came uptrumps!!!
