i only manage in total 1GB uploading and downloading a day and i use P2P/Torrents etc.. a lot.

i download more than 3gb...and i think its rather poor of a company as big as NTL to compensate for their mediocre technology by shaping unlimited customers bandwidth...why not lets buy technology that actually can handle the throughput between 4 and 12 ...lets sort that problem before doubling the speed of the packages they offer?

It stays the same apparently.

When you trigger STM your modem is not rebooted and your connection is not interrupted. Also your modems configuration file (as shown in the modems log) is not altered.
