actually, I wonder what the record for posts is...I'm sure this thread will be valid for a while to come, seing how long virgin are taking in implicating the 20mb/s. We may make a record. Anyway, I'm off now, so goodnight to you all

That's in my experience, anyway. During peak, throttling affects ADSL more heavily.

Wow!!!! I was never affected like that on ADSL. I'm a 1/4 mile away from my exchange though and in a completely different area. (AOL & Bulldog)
Even though my ADSL speeds are excellent my Telewest at the time whooped it easily.

When do they actually send out the new config files? Is it usually around or after midnight like in the early hours, or is it just random times?

Also just outa curiosity once the new config has be distributed do you need to reboot yr modem to see it ? or can you just login and hey presto it's there ?
