Other than files from very fast download servers I feel that most people will hardly notice the difference from 10 Megs.

When I was upgraded from whatever it was to 10Megs NTL pushed the modem file and the new rate appeared overnight. They didn't do that this time and I found it updated after a power off\on.

Re: the remark that a lot of people will not notice much improvement (another poster)..... When NTL upgraded to 10 megs there is no doubt in my mind that we were previously way behind the speed curve and the difference was dramatic. I have played, hunt the fast server, for Linux distros, graphics drivers etc, and have found very few that aren't limited from the server end.

192.168.100.1 - should be your modem IP - default password and user should be "root"

Is there a requirement to reboot the modem for the new changes to take effect?
