Anyone on the 20mbit/s yet?

I also told them if the tech does not turn up on friday the 20 modem and v+box and all wall telephone and tv sockets including cableing will be waiting for them on the path at the end of the street and they won't even be in a carrier bag

Anyway, I couldn't sleep last night, so I spontaneously went and rebooted the router at 4am just incase, and wahey

1st 512K took 234 ms = 2188 KB/sec, approx 18029 Kbps, 17.61 Mbps
2nd 512K took 204 ms = 2509.8 KB/sec, approx 20681 Kbps, 20.2 Mbps
3rd 512K took 218 ms = 2348.6 KB/sec, approx 19352 Kbps, 18.9 Mbps
4th 512K took 219 ms = 2337.9 KB/sec, approx 19264 Kbps, 18.81 Mbps

Overall Average Speed = approx 19332 Kbps, 18.88 Mbps


Mind you when I tried on my laptop I was only g etting about 2-3meg so I thought "oh great, it's gotten slower", but the upload speed was fast, in the end it turns out my wifi was playing up, meh, I'll fix it this evening.


Don't care about the schedule now

Yup, no doubt loads of tech's will be sent out for jobs they can do nothing about wasting time because stupid idiots rang up the first bloody morning of May whining they dont have 20mb broadband, when their are honest people with real requirements for tech's who are put back .

They should round up the ones who waste tech's time with it and fine them a few hundred quid and reduce them to 150k broadband for a few week.
