Moving Broadband Temporarily

Hi

I'm moving out of where I live on Monday and have put my Virgin account on a time out package as it will be a couple of months before my new property is ready, so I'm staying with a friend.
Would Virgin install the broadband at my friends house for a couple of months instead without changing my contract?
Or would it be best to leave it on the time out package?

Thanks

Chris

Re: Moving Broadband Temporarily

Doubt it, they would be looking to re-install your account package against your new address instead of temporarily moving it and then moving it again.

to the forums.

I very much doubt that they would do that. Best leave it on time out and find some cheap ISP to connect to in the mean time.

Re: Moving Broadband Temporarily

tell virgin that your friends house is your new address, and they will install it there for you. Then when your house is ready to move into, call virgin and say you are moving again, and they will install it at the new address for you.

Re: Moving Broadband Temporarily

Thanks for the advice.
Does anyone know of any isp's that do monthly contracts. Either that or my friend has Sky TV, how is there broadband service and how do you qualify for the free broadband.

Thanks

Re: Moving Broadband Temporarily

PlusNet do, but just double check their conditions to make sure there's no exit charges...I know there was an issue a while back about that, but that might be solved now.

Either that, or just go (shock horror) dial-up
