Ethernet Woes

Since finally switching from USB to Ethernet (mainly since I plan to get a wireless router) I have been having problems with the connection to the modem, I have the conection working fine.

However even the slightest knock to the modem or cable will cause it to loose the connection, the ENET light goes out and the connection is lost, however pluging the cable in and out and jiggling it around eventually solves the problem and all is fine, until it happens again...

This always happens at the modem end and I am wondering if there is anything I can do about it ? Is it a normal issues or a dodgy port ?

Re: Ethernet Woes

That is in no way normal. None of my Ethernet devices do that. Which port is loose, the modem or computer?
