Re: Problems in the Nottingham Area
Speed has been fine here, though accessing practically ANY US sites is damn near impossible, bad routes.

You have a swansea proxy server manually specified in your browser, I would suggest you remove that.
The Nottingham proxy servers have been turned off for about six months now.

Re: Problems in the Nottingham Area
I reformatted my PC today to see if this was causing the problem.
Had 10mb all day. Got to around 7.00pm and my broadband connection has gone down to 2mb.

Seems that NTL cannot provide a 10mb service at night and at weekends.
Well in the Nottingham area that is.
Looks like another friendly call to the ts team in India.

Re: Problems in the Nottingham Area
I think it all depends where you are trying to hit, my newsgroups, on my eurofeeds account is not getting above 512k on a 10 meg connection, and has been like this since the local cloner went mad. Never mind the other problems that people have been having with dire connections. My internet is sporadic at best and absolutely terrible at worst i am simply not willing to ring India TS again over 5 hours and counting up to press
