This seems strange as a poster on another forum claims that Geocities is working ok for him,i wonder if its just NTL users that are affected

Just connected to my home machine and I can't access geocities from my NTL connection in Leeds.

I can from my work connection and also working from a connection in Redbus SH.

SO seems a problem with NTL.

can access geocities.com via www.browser9.com, but cant access it directly! Probably been blacklisted loool

Yes i can connect using http://www.myproxy.gr/
but my site says

Same here. Can't even get Geocities home page to display via NTL proxy but ping and traceroute are fine.

I can access it ok through my work proxy via vpn.

At the moment the trace is diverting through the Telewest network. Excactly the same thing happened when hi5 was on the IWF blacklist.

crikey... I've just tried (after reading this thread) to access geocities.com and yup... it's not letting me (I live in Stockport). Normally, I don't have a problem.. in fact I do have a geocities site (if I can remember what on earth it was... it's been a while since 2002!)

Ok, googled for geocities - and that works..... !?!
