connection re-install without CD

Hi Folks, Recently there was a posting about re-installing your isp connection without using the installer cd. I cannot find it. Can anyone help, please. Regards, William.

If you're using Ethernet connection, then its simply a case of plugging it into the back of your PC

Hello JB, Many thanks for your reply. To cut a long story short,I intend using my 'master disks' to restore my pc to factory spec. At present I use Realtek Fast Ethernet NIC to connect to NTL. Am i right in thinking that all I have to do is to plug the modem cable into the back of the pc. Regards, William.

Thats correct William You should be able to plug the cable in, switch the modem on and away you go.
