Switching to BT

I currently have NTL phone and broadband (the £35 a month one) and have been thinking of changing supplier for some time. I recently noticed that Be*unlimited are now live in my area (Stockton-on-Tees) and would like to go with them. Obviously I need a BT phone line first... my question is, if I have BT reconnect my phone line with them, can I keep my NTL broadband active until I organise my replacement service with beunlimited? I don't want to end up with no internet connection for weeks. I accept I may have to lose it for a few days, but am hoping I can minimise it as much as possible.

Many thanks :-)

Re: Switching to BT

If you're on cable, then it's separate technology. So I'd suggest keeping the NTL until the BT line and ADSL is in and working. Might cost a few quid, but at least you don't lose an internet connection.
