Re: just upgraded to 10mb
Shame you didnt upgrade a few months ago. Then you would have got the chance to try out the 20meg.

Re: just upgraded to 10mb
I'm currently on dialup (fackin' Demon decided to cancel my ADSL 5 days before the agreed upon date and ntl are installing on January 16th ), and I am looking forward to 10mb. I must say, it is nice to see satisfied customers. Most ISP forums are only used for when someone has a problem, and so you get a very biased view of a company. It's good to see the other side for once

Just letting you know that this Forum has nothing to do with NTL. Hope your 10mbit goes according to plan.

Being pedantic, but I think the poster meant isp based rather then run by or maintained by the isp.

Re: just upgraded to 10mb
I've just upgraded yesterday from 4meg to 10 meg. The connection has dropped so many times its unbelieveable Wireless routers are working fine when we ping them and its the cable modem at fault all the time.
Does anyone know if this is common? Is it set up teething problems? or is there anything i can do?
I'm at work atm with a decent connection, but will be going home in a few hours to try and fathom it out, so any ideas would be very helpful indeedy

Re: just upgraded to 10mb
If you care to look around this forum area you will realise very quickly that in some areas the 10Mb is as stable as a highly strung child eating pure sugar on a hot day. NTL are no doubt working on the problems but let's just say that some people are still experiencing bad speeds, dropped connections and ping issues.

Thanks Paul, we had no problems with 4 meg. Its just other half 'needed' better speeds for work and now i'm wondering about that old saying 'if it ain't broke don't fix it'

Re: just upgraded to 10mb
Hi all, recently installed my belkin F5D7230-4 for my 10 meg line.
I was wondering which router would be best for ntl 10 meg line!
Did a speed test with the router, got some lame ass download and upload speed!
Did a speed test with the modem and got some great download speed!
If you can please get back to me! Which router would you recommend using?
Cheers All.
