Telewest's Free UseNet Access.
As you may know... NTL's free UseNet access is rather poor at the moment - How does BlueYonder's compare? and ironically why are they providing different UseNet services when its the same company?
Mod edit (Gavin): Using people's lifestyle choices as a derogatrory term will not be tolerated.

What do you mean "rather *removed*"?

Re: Telewest's Free UseNet Access.
using whatever newsreader you want download a groups list and add the groups you want. Then download headers which first time is a tedious task then select which files you wish to download

Re: Telewest's Free UseNet Access.
UseNet is the term I and other people use to call Newsgroup servers, DCCIanUK. Some do some don't.
...As for the termonology I have used - its describing the poor performance of damaged and incomplete files of NTL's servers. NTLHell forums have been discussing the issue.
My query was simple - How Telewest's free servers compare to NTL's?

Oy want to refrain from using homosexual as a reference to poor performance? As a gay person I am offended by that post and I am going to be reporting it!

Re: Telewest's Free UseNet Access.
They (Blueyonder) are still run as independant companies, network and product intergration doesn't happen overnight.
As to whether the Blueyonder one is better, I'm sure somebody can offer a comment.

Re: Telewest's Free UseNet Access.
The question implies an answer from someone who has tried both ntl & blueyonder news services, which, as Toto says, run on different servers, - anyone??
NTL servers seem to be showing signs of poor completion, rather than poor retention

Re: Telewest's Free UseNet Access.
I'm not expecting them to impliment NTL's, Toto. Just simply an answer of someone who's familiar with both.
...Blimey.

Just pointing out the behemoth tasks involved, no swipe at you, or anyone else intended
