hardtarget can only hope to improve
ntl broadband modem ac adaptor?
will ntl send me a new one if i tell them my old one has become faulty?

Unless you broke it yourself (in which case they'd probably make you pay for a new one), I don't see why they wouldn't.

I doubt it, if you call into faults (151 on an NTL landline) they will probably book you an engineer. Whatever you do, don't try and bodge another adapter in there as you are likely to fry the modem and incur the wrath

When they replaced my Terrayon with a 250 I didn't even get a new power adaptor :O
