cancelling ntl broadband

I have recently signed up to Sky Broadband which i have to say is a great service. I have just given NTL 30 days notice on the Broadband and they told me to bin the modem once disconnected.

I would recommend you to sign to Sky as follows

2 mix pack = £15.00 per month
sky talk = £5 per month (unlimited phone calls)
sky broadband = £5.00 per month - 8 meg d/speed with 40 gig limit

Total = £25.00

you can of course have Sky Plus for an additional £10 per month

Take your phone back to BT and then sign up for Sky Broadband

Best decision I ever made.

Good riddance to NTL Broadband and the Tech Support in India and their 0871 number!

Doesn't Sky BB run on the BT Network?? OK if you can get a good connection, but it's a joke here.

Yep Sky is ADSL so if your line is no good or you are too far from the exchange your speeds will be rubbish
I take it you didn't want to keep your half price BB that NTL gave you when you first decided to leave

Re: cancelling ntl broadband

I tried to sign up for all of the above 2 weeks ago. Install date given was last saturday 2/12. NO show from the engineer. After 4hrs on and off the phone ( national rate, until I finally found a free phone number) to cust service, they turned round and finally said the engineer had called in sick and this was at 3.30 in the afternoon, why couldn't they tell me this earlier, when I had started to phoned them at 10.100am, until 3.30. Phone call to NTL and everything was up and running again within 30 mins.

In the 7yrs I have been with NTL I don't have any complaints. I left sky in the fisrt place (hubby prefers sky to NTL TV )because of the cust serv, and it seems nothing has change - this is JMO

You forgot to put the cost of the BT line in your calculations, and that the unlimited phone calls are to UK landlines - hope you enjoy your new job

Re: cancelling ntl broadband

Sky who used to be excellent in their customer service is now well cr@p even when compared to NTL's.
Unless of course they want you to buy sky plus or multiroom, then they cant do enough.

Cant say I have had an issue with sky since I joined
NTL also cannot do enough, or promise to, when selling stuff, so its all eaual there, guess thats why they call it business.
