Slow Browsing, Fantastic Speeds :S

Browsing websites is aweful, some pages and pictures won't even load, here is a small list of some websites causing the problems...

- Windows Live Mail/MSN Hotmail
- www.mininova.org

That above is just a small list of sites failing to load, or loading very slowly...

But when i do speed tests or download files from Microsoft HD site its totally fine.

1st 512K took 422 ms = 1213.3 KB/sec, approx 9998 Kbps, 9.76 Mbps
2nd 512K took 437 ms = 1171.6 KB/sec, approx 9654 Kbps, 9.43 Mbps
3rd 512K took 438 ms = 1169 KB/sec, approx 9633 Kbps, 9.41 Mbps
4th 512K took 437 ms = 1171.6 KB/sec, approx 9654 Kbps, 9.43 Mbps

Overall Average Speed = approx 9735 Kbps, 9.51 Mbps

Re: Slow Browsing, Fantastic Speeds :S

Slow browsing when your lines tests out fine can indicate a local proxy problem.
If you go to http://homepage.ntlworld.com/tech.online/proxy/
could you post any numbers that appear on the REMOTE_ADDR line provided the other two lines aren't empty?

Re: Slow Browsing, Fantastic Speeds :S

i too have this problem, very very annoying.

Have tried different browsers etc.

I have absolutely no idea why some sites are loading very very slowly however at work they are very fast. NO p2p running etc etc. Just this comp on network .... all since switching to BY.?!

new Linksys router for the cable which seems fine ...

REMOTE_ADDR = 82.33.xx.xx (which is the ip address found on my router as well)
HTTP_X_FORWARDED_FOR =
HTTP_CLIENT_IP

Re: Slow Browsing, Fantastic Speeds :S

Try doing a trace-route to one of these sites that are causing problems and see if a problem occurs on the Internet somewhere.
