403 Forbidden

forgive me for trying to access this site but i was told it was funny.......one problem, is this came up:

Forbidden

You don't have permission to access / on this server.




Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request. Apache/1.3.33 Server at www.chavscum.co.uk Port 80

Seems to be working ok here.

You may be experiencing problems with the transparent proxy.

What internet browser are you using?

tools-> internet options-> connections

then take the tick out of use a proxy server and the other two boxes.

im using IE6 XP SP2 im using Actiontec Wireless pack as well if thats got anything to do with it?

Shouldn't have. More likely a proxy problem.

Did you do as Monkeybreath suggested above?

No idea. Try a tracert on it:

1. Open a command prompt in the usual manner (easiest is Flag+R and type "cmd", press enter)
2. type "tracert chavscum.co.uk" and press enter
3. see where it drops

The proxy server address is the bit after the = sign

To copy and paste from the command prompt:

Right click on the left hand end of the title bar and select Edit > Mark
Highlight the bit you want to copy
Hit Enter

Now go to where you want to paste and hit Ctrl + V

Try clicking the litle c:\ icon in the top left corner of the command prompt box. Then choose edit, select all etc. It's not obvious at all, but you can copy/paste from the command prompt.

Changed proxy server to Baguley and the site now WORKS. So the problem is likely to be the LUTON servers????

Sounds like it.....

You might want to try reversing the steps in a day or two, they will probably sort themselves out at some stage in the future.....
