Ntl Speeds And Caps
Ok so why does ntl not offer its customers a choice of speeds ie a 512k with no caps at ﾃつ｣15 a 1mb capped service at ﾃつ｣17.99 and a uncapped 1mb @ ﾃつ｣20 a month and the 2mb at ﾃつ｣24.99 the current choices seem very limited when you compare them to other isps also the 512k option is only avaliable to ntl freedom customers or am i wrong ?

ntl offer more than double cap limits than some other well known isp's so I think it is ok what ntl does.

thnkyou and im aware of the speed upgrade threads but this is about the choice that we have not about any upgrades

In that case you, being aware of the thread on the Caps (or mythical caps as I like to call them because "strictly" they haven't been introduced fully yet) , will be aware of some of the discussion about why the caps are being put in place.

I would suspect that the very reasons that the Caps are being put in place will be the reasons that NTL wouldn't offer a seperate level of service without the Cap.

That and the fact that it probably wouldn't be cost effective for them to do so.

Of course it'd be cost effective - if they charged the right price!

Fine. I'm on 1Mbps and downloaded 35GB in the month of May. That's not cost effective for NTL, I'm sure.

So. Charge me ﾃつ｣25 a month for unlimited 1Mbps. I'd be happy with that.

They're just not offering the services to keep the customers at the moment.
