Question weird IP thing - my site's disappeared

I can't see my own website in IE6 (WinXP) although others can. I moved it last week and for a few day, all was fine. Today, it doesn't exist AFA my pc is concerned.

Yesterday, my ftp client wa working with it ok but tonight, ftp client says eitehr (a) my site does not exist or (b) it shows me an IP that relates to my old host and denies me access.
Ran cmd ipconfig /flush dns and rebooted but problem persists. My webhost (great guys) say it's an NTL problem: something in NTL somewhere has reverted to the old (host's) IP and it will take 24hrs for the NTL systems to recognise this and change it back to the real IP.

I am at the limit of what I know about IPs.

Can anyone help? Ta v much.

This wont help for FTP, but If you change your proxy, that will pick it up as it won't be cached.

As for FTP, try connecting to the IP address of the server rather than ftp.domain.com
