Question USB Connection icon.

Im using Windows Me and I am wondering if it is possible to have an icon in my tray when im using Ntl Broadband. I used to be able to have an icon when using dial up. I cant find any settings anywere to be able to get an icon in my systray when using Broadband through USB. If there is anyway to do this then how?

Re: USB Connection icon.

I'm using XP but it might work on ME,

Go the control panel,
click on Network Connections,
right click on the Broadband internet connection (don't click on the USB to Ethernet Adaptor),
click on Properties,
click "Show icon in Notification Area when connected" checkbox.

Re: USB Connection icon.

Just out of interest you could use a firewall like norton that would show it connected

But when on Broadband, you're always connected (or should be). Is there any specific reason why you want an icon in systray?
