netgear router

help i have a netgear web router and need to alter settings 192.168.0.1 should get me in but no i cant get access i have pressed reset turned off but still can not get in any idea what can be done to resolve.

have you specified a proxy in IE? if so try removing it.

also is your computer picking up a valid ip from the router? it should start 192.168...

allright monkeybreath no prox set i can use the internet no problem just cant get into alter the settings i have down loaded the latest from microsoft and since then i have also lost the abillity to use my blue tooth between my laptop and main pc.

Make sure the machine you're connecting with has an IP address in the same range, i.e. 192.168.0.2-255, I think to do a proper rest you have to hold the reset button in for a fairly long period while turning it on, and keeping it pressed, worked for me.

spot on bifta held down reset but 10 sec and now all working cheers lads.
