Have you checked your signal strength and quality using the box?

I'm not sure a communal one would be up to it - it depends how the signal is distributed.

You could try an indoor one - like I said mine works perfectly with an indoor one - but I'm really close to the transmitter so I don't know how much luck you'd get using one.
