I seen the "new series" advertised and watched with amazement on how something that was axed 2 years ago could apparently have a new series on tonight. I thought have they either gone back on giving that and Heartbeat the axe or what?.

Then I recalled how the last series of Heartbeat was screened well over a year after it had finished filming. So thought was it a new recording or old episodes. Then as the closing titles came to the end it shows it was recorded\produced in 2009!.

So why have they been sitting on the episodes for a good 2 years?. I'd have thought they would broadcast them when they originally planned to in 2009.
