I just made the point that if any of the crew asked any questions (whether they require detailed or vague answers) about the travelers income or taxes, they may well be thrown off the camp.

Well maybe we will be enlightened later in the series..But my response is valid in that not everyone even those with nothing to hide want to discuss their finances with a camera crew.

wll its a lot easier to hide monies made from criminal activities when they wont talk about em with the proper authorities ie tax dhss vat council tax dvla you know like everyone else has like i said about time they obeyed the same rules we have to

By the way was it ever said just how much they were getting paid (or at least what C4 payed them) to have the series about them made etc?. As there cant be a single person on this board who would think they would be part of the program for free.

I seen the episode\s where they basically took the ****** out of the dress maker by not giving her the info she needed to make arrangements for the wedding etc lol.

yup then blamed the dress maker and cost her money she did say that thats wot travellers operate like not the roma as far as i can see

While I am perfectly well aware of the problems Pikeys can cause (and I use that term to describe those who do obtain things illegally, not general travellers), maybe these guys don't want to get abuse because people suddenly think they are pikeys?

BTW, just because someone has asked that their face be pixellated, it does not follow that they are doing something illegal. It can just mean they are fearful of reprisals from their local community (e.g. a shop keeper talking about some kids who nick stuff from his shop may want his face pixellated because he is frightened they'll do something a lot worse if they know he is talking to a TV crew about them).
