Request for Telephopne Directory

Last September I e mailed ntl and asked if they would send me a a local telephone directory. They replied and said that they had ordered one for me. After many months of chasing, I finally received A directory this morning (12 Jan 2004). I thought "whooppee" until I noticed that it was the WRONG one. They had sent me a Central South Wales one which does not have any Cardiff numbers in it and which is absolutely useless to me! One would have thought that the person taking this request would know that living in Cardiff, I would want the local directory! I have sent them another e mail today stating that I hope that I don'y have to wait as long for the correct one. It'll be time for a new edition soon!

Ive contactedNTL on this subject numerous times and everytime CS say i should get one automatically. I never do get them automatically, i end up calling them and asking which is a real pain.

I think the one im using now is 2000

I'm still waiting for the one I was promised 4 years ago.
Failing that,the one I ordered last year,or the year before or the previous year,will suffice!

I joined Nynex in 1996. For the first 2 years I telephoned them constantly asking for a new directory, which they promised every time. When Cable & Wireless took over, I tried again. Nothing arrived.

And when NTL took over I tried yet again......

Finally, in December 2003 I received a new (BT!!!) telephone directory.

So, if this is anything to go by......in around 7 years time, expect to get a copy of the right directory!

We ntl'ers should really get one automatically. The BT customers do, and BT say it is up to our telephone supplier (ntl) to arrange the supply (quite right).

NTL never have automatically sent me one, I always have to ask for one to be sent. Which reminds me to ask for a new one, I'm still on 2001.

NTL must save quite a bit operating that way......you have to ask for one, to get one.
