Smartcard not inserted correctly!!!???

Can anyone help? Im receiving an error msg when changing channels which says that the Smartcard is not inserted correctly - but I promise you all it is!!

Ive had the engineer round 4 times so far, they fix it and then 2/3 hours later, it brings back the same msg!
ive been having a right moan with cust services but each time they say they need to send engineer!

Has anyone experienced this problem as well, if so, did you manage to get it fixed and if so how??

thanks!

What do the engineers say is wrong ?.
When you take the card out isthere any discolouration around the chip and is there enough ventalation around the cable box.
It has been found if the unit gets to warm it causes the card to warp and the contacts do not work properly.

Re: Smartcard not inserted correctly!!!???

If this keeps happening, as it has, ask for the entire STB and card to be replaced. Clearly a fault somewhere. But as Quam256 says, ventilation around the STB is essential, especially in this hot weather.
