New Channels

Not sure if this subject has already been covered (searched but could not find any results).

Is NTL / TW getting new channels and if so when?
It seems Sky are always adding new channels all the time and seem to cover every taste and possibilites

Any ideas??

Re: New Channels

Only one channel is likely to be appearing on ntl, that being bingo call channel AVAGO.

Satellite is currently adding channels at a rate of approx 8 channels per month. Sky currently has 602 channels (including the Sky Box Office channels which include 98 radio stations). ntl has just under 230 channels and Telewest has around 200.

If and when we hear of any new channels, we do publish articles on the front page..

Re: New Channels

Thank you lads.
NTL really seems to be falling behind and do not appear to be concerned by it.

Re: New Channels

No letter from NTL yet, but no doubt this should come through shortly.
Maybe I was wrong and NTL are going to offer more value and channels.
I wonder if all the new channels will be available in all regions.

Re: New Channels

and it still amazes me that ntl does not provide Player even though it now owns the channel.

Re: New Channels

Ntl already have the channels mentioned above. They are just going to organise the base pack. I think it will be quite a while till they add new channels. Personally I don't think this merged company will ever be able to compete with Sky when it comes down to pay tv.

Re: New Channels

It's probably so they can justify not dropping the price of the base pack when the select pack goes free to new customers...
