CA IPPV Status: Credit Suspended
Hi all,
Does anyone know exactly what "CA IPPV Status: Credit Suspended" means in the diagnostic menus?
I just tried watching a VOD movie (Leeds) - my second in as many years - and it kept coming up with a Smart Card error.
Are the two related?
Am I correct in thinking that for some reason ntl have suspended my VOD credit?
If so, why would they do that?
Regards,
gazbiggs

Do you pay for your ntl?
If so then yes, call ntl.

Where abouts in the Country are you?
If on Langley platform if you Press Page Up, Page Down Down and Blue and then go through the menus whats your return path status? (Should be 5).

In Leeds (Bromley Platform).
Don't seem to have a "Return Path Status" but do have --
Card Status: 10
if that means anything usefull.

Re: CA IPPV Status: Credit Suspended
Any info in the menu's about your return path status?
I'm guessing your PPV has been cancelled as your smartcard cannot report the purchases it has stored upon it. No connection, no refresh of entitlement/credit/ and billing.

Re: CA IPPV Status: Credit Suspended
All I can see that seems related is --
AGC Signal Level: 54
Return Power: 50dBmV
Credit: 3200
Oh, and Interactive is working fine.

Re: CA IPPV Status: Credit Suspended
I think a call to ntl is required, unless anyone from CS (Marge) can suggest anything.

Re: CA IPPV Status: Credit Suspended
Problem resolved - no thanks to foreign tech support!!!!!
Since it mentioned the words "Credit Suspended", I thought I'd phone Customer Services so I could speak to someone that can understand the language of the country I live in?????
The lady was very helpfull and put me through to some tech support guy in the UK who told me my smart card had been "turned off" - whatever that means.
Anyway, 30 mins later and the problem was resolved.
Regards,
gazbiggs
