Recording problems

Hi, sorry if I,m being a bit thick, but when ntl installed my new samsung stb they did'nt connect the video recorder and left no instructions.
When I connect the stb to the video using a scart cable everytrhing goes blank, when I disconnect everythings ok again.
How do I set it up to tape.
I don't get it!
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks Duncan

Re: Recording problems

Hi to the site.

Which scart port are you using? the top one goes to you vid and the bottom goes to your tv. You may need to turn the stb off to record (I know it sounds daft but some makes off video do require this)
OR
you can connect via a normal aerial lead in this way...incoming lead from roof aerial to stb from stb to vid then on to tv.
