Exclamation DVD recorder/remote control problems...

Hi,
So I finally invested in a plain old Samsung DVD recorder, I follow the set up instructions and with a little fiddling I got my Telewest up and running on the TV. Now I haven't even tried to record anything yet since my Telewest remote is now refusing to work I can't figure out why?! anyone have any suggestions? I can change the channel but only by using the actual telewest box, which is going to be far too much like hard work if i need to do that everytime.
The cables are set up as per Samsung like so...
DVD SCArt 1 --> TV (my TV only has 1 scart input)
DVD Scart 2 --> Telewest box (here i'm not so sure which scart plug it should go in?)

As i say I can view telewest and presume i can record it BUT the remote isn't working.

PLEASE HELP!

Re: DVD recorder/remote control problems...

I complained when this happened to me the night I got my new TV Drive. I finally got them to agree to send out a technician the following Tuesday, but for this I had to persuade the call centre to log a technical fault rather than the need for a new remote control, as no one could do this! This was particularly irritating as I believe they have a main office a mile from my house, and a staff member living round the corner (!)

Tell them your equipment is faulty as they will get someone round, whereas a new remote will take WEEKS to come apparently. Also make it clear that you expect the service you're paying for.

The advice they will give you is pressing reset.

My problem eventually rectified itself, don't know what happened. Some time on the Sunday, it had started on Thursday.

Luci

Good luck
