Re: CITV Channel

No and no plans for it to appear either. Looks like ntl is goign to do to CITV what telewest did to ITV4.

It will launch on Sky Digital in May 2006, and NTL to follow.

Got a source for 'no plans', other than Customer Services? (Who, as we know, are always the last to be told anything! )

I thought that it was only available on freeview and that was ITV's decision?

Re: CITV Channel

The channel will appear on Sky on 8 May. ITv and Sky have always ahd a fractious relationship so a delay in the Sky launch is not a surprise.

ITV and Telewest's deal was very well tiemd which enabled the channel to launch on telewest as well as on Freeview, plsu also Home Choice.

As for ntl, there ahs eben no reference to ntl in any articles I have read about CITV which leads me to the conclusion that ntl ahs decided not to carry the channel.

Aren't Telewest & NTL the same company now?

Ah yes, brilliant reasoning. Do you also think that 2 + 2 = 7? The bank manager must love you...

That could mean that NTL have not announced any plans to carry CITV. They do not (as a rule) announce plans to have channels until they are ready to launch. This is standard practice on commercial DTV platforms.

It could also mean that the author simply neglected to mention any plans he had heard of.
