Teletext Service

When will NTL have a full teletext service? I currently have to switch to analogue for this service. When the digital switchover takes place this will not be possible. Do I need to switch to Sky?

Re: Teletext Service

hi

this article is quite informative, if I understand correctly the option of providing teletext is down to the content provider, not NTL.

Re: Teletext Service

When digital switchover takes place, 'normal' teletext (i.e., that carried in the VBI which you access by pressing the Text button on your analogue TV) will be switched off by most, if not all channels.

There's no VBI teletext on BBC/ITV/C4/C5 on Sky or Freeview either, by the way.

EDIT: That's quite a good article - one or two ambiguous points, but a good general overview of the situation.
