Sky News - Signing for the deaf?

Hello,

I've just put Sky News on - there screen is "split" with some woman doing signing for the deaf viewers! Is there a way to get back to normal Sky News or is this a new feature fron Sky News?

You can't turn it off, it's inserted at broadcast. Ofcom require channels with over 0.05% audience share to have a certain % of hours signing each day.

Why wouldn't deaf people want to know the news? They have the same interests as hearing people and are entitled to the same level of service under the DDA.
