Remote volume control

I have a Samsung STB with the blue remote, since changing my TV from a Sony CRT to a Panasonic LCD the volume control on the remote does not work. All else is OK. Any ideas?

Re: Remote volume control

You need to reprogram the remote to work with your new TV - they use different Infra-red signals to change volume. Repeat the steps on the instructions that came with the remote, or if you can't find it I think someone posted them here on CF a while back; you should be able to find them if you do a search!

Thanks for the quick reply! I had no instructions with the remote or the box for that matter, when NTL installed them. I'll do a search as you suggest,
all other functions work OK, I'm puzzled.

You'll never go wrong in listening to quadplay and Chris T, just follow Chris's info, and your new tv's sound will be working in no time via the volume control

Ah, the installer probably programmed the remote for you and 'helpfully' disposed of the rubbish!

Chris' link has the details you need - let us know if you have any problems!
