I think you will find there is absolutely no chance that you will get a answer from NTL on that .

Future plans for encryption would be highly confidential and known to only a few need to know people. And i have a feeling that they do not post on this forum and if they did they would not answer you.

The only people who need to be worried about future encryption would be those stealing service. If and that's a big if they where to go to version 2 then those stealing service need to be very worried as i think it has not been cracked. I could be wrong.

Please note i have no information on the Future plans of NTL and if i did i would not post them here

I presume ntl would have to send out new viewing cards if they were to move to Nagravision 2. Would probably be worth them doing this I think - Sky sent out new viewing cards about a year ago. Or are the set top boxes not capable of Nagravision 2? Actually, I bet this is the case! Good old ntl!

Re: Are ntl planning to move to Nagravision 2 encryption?

If an when NTL decide to upgrade the encryption used I am sure they will take whatever steps are necessary to enable paying customers to carry on using the service.

However, please note: any discussion of illegal acts (such as breaking NTLs encryptions) is banned on this site.
