New TV!
Yep! I got my 42Inch Sony Flat Screen TV setup today! It's amazing. Really big. Anyways, I have the NTL Connected to the DVD Recorder with the scart lead. The NTL Settop box to the TV with the Scart lead. Anyways, The VCR is connected to the DVD Recorder. But, I'm confused! Cause, I can't get normal channels on my TV anymore. or, I can't get my VCR into my TV anymore. It all has to been done by the DVD Recorder? Is this what is happening to everyone else?
Please help!

Re: New TV!
Sounds like your cables are not connected in the right sequence.
Can you post a clear description of how the equipment is linked together and in what order the signal passes through the equipment? No doubt someone will help as we get numerous posts like this lol.

Re: New TV!
lol Ok!! Here it goes:
TV -> NTL (Scart)
TV -> DVD Recorder (Scart)
NTL -> DVD Recorder (Scart) & (Other Little Lead)
VCR -> DVD Recorder (Other Little Lead)
So, I can't get like normal channels on the TV like Channel 1 - 05. Because, I would like to tape something on DVD and then watch something else? I can't now! And, It's bugging me sooo much! lol. Anyways, I would also like NTL Channel to be on Channel 6 like my other TV did!

Re: New TV!
Hang on, should your NTL signal not be going through your DVD or VCR before it goes to the telly?

Re: New TV!
When you hook the NTL box to the VCR or DVD what channels are you checking to find a signal? Are you checking the AV channels? I'll do a search in a min as I know someone posted a connection diagram for these setups yesterday.
Here's a thread that may prove helpful

Re: New TV!
To get normal channels 1-5 you will need a coaxial aerial lead from the STB to the TV. If you daisy chain that through the DVD & VCR you will probably also get STB, VCR and DVD output on other tunable frequencies, in addition to the SCART AV feeds. That enables you to record from STB while watching channel 1-5
Note that 1-5 will only work if your STB has an analogue passthrough (many STB do not). Alternatively connect a rooftop terrestrial aerial into the co-axial linkage.
