Video problem

Hi all, new poster here, so sorry if this has been asked before..
Got telewest tv, with the set top box feeding through the video to the tv. For some reason, the engineer set it up so that you can get the terrestrial channels recording as always, but not the telewest ones..
Its a bit of an old video, using channels to receive the signal, [eg, BBC1 channel 55, BBC2, channel 62 etc].
The question is, would anyone know how to sort the signal from the top box to the video for recording out, or does anyone know what channel the top box sends through the video?

i thought most devices use channel 36. im not 100% sure though

have you got an RF out on the STB? and is it connected to the RF in on the video?

just re read your post put sky on the stb then chose a channel on your video then tune it in to the sky channel

and when you do this make sure the tv is on your video channel
