DVD Recorder
We'll im not having any luck with connecting my DVD recorder to record ntl channles.
Basically i am trying to hook up the dvd recorder to my tv which has 1 scart being a LCD.
I have set it up as to this diagram replacing the VCR
However i can go to AV1 and watch the NTL but i cannot find the screen for the DVD Recorder, therfore i cannot set it up.
Then i went to option two and bought a 1 to 2 scart thing. It doesnt have any switches therefore i suppose it is automatic. However when i go to AV1 i can hear the NTL channel but the DVD Recorders screen is ontop. If i go to AV2 nothing appears.
BTW does anyone know if the manufacturer Bush have a website, i cannot find it.

Re: DVD Recorder
A DVD Recorder should fit to the STB the same way that a Video should
Have you plugged it in to the right scart in the DVD R try swapping them (I know some have one going to the TV and the other is a thru port)

Re: DVD Recorder
Ive set it up correctly, the dvdr has clearly labled to tv and out out, vcr, stb.
When i do that i can see ntl but cant find the dvdr chanel, why is that?
when i fit the tv out directly from my stb to the tv when i searched for channels i only get about 9. why is that?

You have to change the digital channel on the STB. So you should get 1-5 and the STB channel - I do not know what the other 3 channels are.

The Scart will transmit only the current digital channel being decoded by the STB.

Re: DVD Recorder
I have a very similar setup.
Most STB's have two SCARTs, one should go to the TV (AV1) and the second to DVDR SCART Input. The RF Bypass (if you have one) output from the STB should also go to the DVDR. The DVDR SCART output should go to AV2 on the TV.
To view the DVDR setup/playback you need to select AV2 on the TV. The DVDR should be able to record input from the RF input or from SCART input - the RF input will pickup Ch 1 - 5, QVC, the current DTV channel and maybe a couple of others. The SCART input allows you to record the content of the current DTV channel.
