NTL analogue box remote control problem

Since last week, my NTL "Jerrold" analogue box has not been responding to the remote control. At first I suspected the remote, so I tried my "One For All" remote (which I have been using for a while to control the box from upstairs) and the box still does not respond. Tried going into the menus to re-enable the remote from there with no luck.

I've tried the "reset defaults" option in the menu again with no success.

Does anyone know any tricks which will reset the box back to factory settings to save me having to wait for someone from NTL deciding to pay a visit?

May sound a silly question (and one that ntl will ask you) have you checked the batteries.

Re: NTL analogue box remote control problem

I did check the batteries, yes.

The box I have is a replacement that was supplied only a couple of months ago, so it's a bit annoying that they've gave me one which has come up with another problem. Looks like I'll be giving them another ring.

Thanks for the responses.
