Gosport: BU2 Update

I've received the booklet today, and ch.119 has been showing the upgrade info since Monday.

How long does it average out between this and upgraded software arriving on STB ?

Gosport (in Hampshire) is on the Bromley platform

Re: Gosport: BU2 Update

At a guess, Tuesday or Wednesday this week. Keep your STB on standby overnight.

Re: Gosport: BU2 Update

Any ideas how much longer it will be til I get the 3.2 upgrade, as I've had the leaflet for 2-3 weeks now, and ch. 119 has been showing the TV Upgrade Info for past 2-3 weeks too

Re: Gosport: BU2 Update

I'm still waiting for the software update. Channel 119 has been all about the update for a few weeks now. I've also had the letter with the info for some time.
So it could be this week. I hope so. It must be coming soon.

Re: Gosport: BU2 Update

New software was loaded today (Gosport) when I switched on my box. Couple of niggly things: first when scrolling through Favourites with Page Up/Page Down - it's much slower than before, sometimes taking up to a second to scroll after the button's pressed. Secondly that irritating 'Press Red' (BBC 1 & 2) is back and I can't turn it off like I could with the old software (I realise that disabled the red button extras but I rarely use it anyway). Also it keeps re-appearing at intervals between 5 and 30 minutes.
Still, apart from that it seems quite stable so far.

I have found if you press the back button on the remote once, it gets rid of the 'press red'. Well it does on my blue remote for the Samsung.

Re: Gosport: BU2 Update

But the Press Red prompt will return at the beginning of every programme on the BBC regardless of whether or not there is an eTV content.

It only used to appear when content was available. Don't understand why it changed

Re: Gosport: BU2 Update

Confirmed here in Forton, Gosport

Did soft-reboot, and it successfully downloaded and upgraded to the new software

Does seem faster, at least on a Samsung box
