Angry Channel 5

The picture is crap this morning - Ghosting and teletext is available, which makes me thinks they're using an analogue signal instead of digital after yesterday's problems??

Re: Channel 5

You cant run a digital STB off a analog feed!Because of the lightning the other day,we've been having problems all over the place.More likely a series of what we call outages.

Re: Channel 5

We had problems with Channel 5 also the other day where it was black right through one of those dodgy soaps that my partner and kids watch :p

Needless to say, I didn't mind it not working... but they weren't pleased!

It's fine now though.

Can you get Teletext with NTL? This is a serious question as I have never been able to receive it one of many issues during the appalling three months I have been payiing them.

Unhappy Re: Channel 5

Concerning the five issue, I sure can get teletext and I'm on DIGITAL! Never used to until the outage last Thursday, which affected 5, Eurosport and a couple of radio channels. As I've said, the down side is that it looks like its constantly a 4:3 picture, anologue signal and has ghosting, halos / double vision.

No teletext for BBC 1, 2, ITV1 and Channel 4 though.

You can on some channels but not on any of the channels that are taken from Freeview (which does not support analogue teletext).

Re: Channel 5

No C5 in Poole either.

To be honest, it's pretty bad that it seems to have been affecting all Bromley areas for several days now, considering that it's one of the "big name" channels.
