Ntl TV remote control

Ntl TV remote control

My one is broken I phoned ntl and they said they would send me a new

One and I would get it in 2 days that was over a week ago?

Any way my wife as been up north seeing some of her family

And they had a spare one but I canââ‚Âà ‚¬ÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â‚¬Å¾Ã‚¢t get it to work with my top box

I remember when I talked to the girl at ntl she said when I got my

New remote control from them there was something I would have

To do to get it working but I have forgotten what she said

Does any one know how to get them working

Re: Ntl TV remote control

i think the remote has to be the same as your old one or its a no go

my old keyboard for my pace box wont work on my samsung and neither will the remote
you dont have to do anything to get it to work apart from batteries
sounds like the wrong remote or a faulty stb

We have different networks all over the UK & if your on the Bromley network,a remote from the Langley network wont work.Best bet, stop a NTL tech & ask him.

The remote control for Samsung is EXACTLY THE SAME as the remote for Pace!I know this for 2 reason,
1- Working for NTL
2- Have pace & samsung boxes on my van & only ONE TYPE of remote.
Most likely they are sending you the remote for the wrong region.(see my post above)

I know someone who had both a pace and a samsung box. The remotes werent interchangeable for him when the remote for his Pace box died.

ive still got my old pace box remote (the one with the numbers at the top)and its a no go i think he means the later pointed remotes with the numbers at the bottom because a freind has a later pace box and his remote works on my samsung

Re: Ntl TV remote control

ok

If you are in a Ex Cable & Wireless area there are 3 remotes.

1. Dark gray/black with silver channel and volume buttons. " pace 1000 2000 4000"

2. Blue Remote "pace 4000 and samsung.

3 Gray remote with OK button that glows in the dark. "pace 1000 2000 only"

Hope this helps

The CWC "stick" remote (no 3 in your list) operates all Bromley Pace boxes, not just the 1000 and 2000.

Re: Ntl TV remote control

Do they code the remotes deliberatly? I dont really see the point if a remote will controll one pace 4000 box but not another - is this the software in the different regions or the remote?
