Unplugging TV while away

If I go away on holiday, I always leave my V+ Box on as I set a lot of recordings and always leave the cabinet doors open to maintain a throughput of air. However, on the safety angle, I unplug as many electric components as I can such as lights, radio etc. As the V+ Box records while the TV is switched off, I guess it's safe to unplug the TV at the wall socket?
