Sky Movies Bond Channel---On Virgin??

Sky have announced that when they start showing all the Bond movies in HD from the autumn they will have a dedicated Bond movie channel.

I do hope Sky are not going to do their usual and stop Virgin having it.

I suspect that rather than launch a new channel they will simply rebrand one of the existing ones, but if it does turn out to be a completely new channel then I hope we do not miss out as I've been looking forward to seeing Bond uncut in HD.

Re: Sky Movies Bond Channel---On Virgin??

I imagine they will just rebrand one of the movie channels like they do at Christmas.

Re: Sky Movies Bond Channel---On Virgin??

It's only going to be around for 1 month anyway.

I would be very dissapointed if this is one of the HD channels coming soon to Virgin, as reported by Media Boy.

The channel is only on the air for 1 month. After that the movies will be broadcast over SKY's various other movie channels. Virgin customers will get access to the movies in HD, one month after SKY customers.

I'd rather have ITV2 HD ahead of Bond HD.

Re: Sky Movies Bond Channel---On Virgin??

Not true, it doesn't state if its a new channel exclusive to Sky or if its just a temporary rebrand of an existing movie channel like the current Sky Movies summer. Which it will probably replace.

Re: Sky Movies Bond Channel---On Virgin??

If it replaces SKY Showcase like it seems likely to, then all Bond films will be in HD anyway because SKY Showcase has a SD and HD version of the channel.
