Intermittent service

I have spent the last hour on the phone to someone in India trying to resolve a simple problem without any resolve.

I record programs at night from a basic VM box onto my HD recorder and constantly get messages about having an invaild card. This splash screen is on for the night and completely ruins anything I want to watch.

I am told it's because I don't reboot the box weekly and he was adamant this is what I was to do.

Any idea how to contact someone less in outer space rather than spending time navigating the 150 menu system.

I am seriously considering ditching this entire service and resorting to a mobile for Internet and Freeview.

Why do such successful companies ruin their reputation by outsourcing to India? Most of my time on the phone was asking him to repeat himself...slowly.
