Consistent broken up recordings on Tivo box

I've been generally very happy with the Tivo service but recently I've been having issues with recordings done at night and especially from ESPN and E4.

I love NBA basketball and Baseball but at least every other recording runs at about double speed with a broken up image and is totally unwatchable. I've taken to recording both the live games and the repeats in the hope that I will get something watchable. However the last 3 NBS playoff games have been the same, totally unwatchable... very disappointing.

I've ensured the box is not overheating, rebooted the box several times (this sometimes results in the next recording working) and have not delated old recordings just in case it was a bad section of disc.

I'd rather not swap boxes as there are several series that I have not yet got round to watching.

Any suggestions?

You need an engineer.

Yeah, I thought that, just wanted to see if anyone else had similar issues or a fix...

Re: Consistent broken up recordings on Tivo box

Engineer booked, the helpful lady at Tivo services said we were showing a very low signal strength so we may need our feed cable replaced. As theses are very old Telewest ones I'm not surprised.
