V+ : No picture thru dvd recorder

since i started using v+ box i cannot record onto my dvd recorder (LG DRT389H) when i turn on dvd the picture im am watching on cable turns to snow i have tried tuning and different variations with scart and HDMI leads but still cannot receive a picture .dvd works fine when just wired up to tv any ideas please

Have you selected the correct input channel?

Firstly, ensure that the Scart is plugged into the VCR Scart on the V+. Then select the AV channel correspnding to the scart you are using on the DVD recorder. Then you should be able to record.

If the HDMI connection is switching away from cable when you turn the DVD on, then you will either have to switch it back manualy, or turn auto switching on the DVD's HDMI off. You will then have to select the DVD manualy when you want to watch DVD's.
