Problems with degradation on display

Hi all

Has any else got any degradation with their TV reception (wondering if it is to do with the Transmitter in are area for we are about to loose the analogue signal).

I am using a TiVo box the HD is fine but the normal digital channels sometimes pixalates and some channels have a what I can describe as a ghosting grey effect which fades in and out (very feint to the eye but it is there on a constant basis).

When I switch to the High gain digital aerial on the TV setting everything is OK.

Broadband is all good at 9.5mB out of 10mB (separate circuit?).

Probably require an engineer me thinks.

cheers Richard

Re: Problems with degradation on display

I'm having similar issues. SD display is not as good as it was before i had the TIVO installed. SKYSPORTS channels are the worst affected.

Had an engineer out twice. First call they installed a four way splitter distribution unit - did not work. Second visit they tested the signal coming into the house and said i had to much so put a forward path attenuator in between the 4 way splitter and the point of entry into the house. Signal is now fine but the problem is still there albite it is better than before. Engineer had his supervisor call me who tried to say there was nothing wrong - there is i can see it.

When i had the tivo installed i had the V+ BOX put into the bedroom giving me 3 boxes alltogether - wondering if 3 boxes and BB would weaking the signal and display a worse picture than say 1 box and BB.

Have you seen an improvement yet?
