I don't have a source I can link too but.........
I rang to cancel Sky today and was basically told NO F1-HD and NO SKY ATLANTIC anywhere else in 2012. Now if this is a lie it would be the first time Sky have lied to me.
Virginmedia lied to me when I left and they told me Sky Atlantic would be on the network with 6 weeks ( 2 DAYS AFTER IT LAUNCHED ON SKY AND STILL NOT ON VM)
They also told me the itv2hd/3hd/4hd contracts were for 12 months only but they still aren't on VM

First thing is staff would not be know whether a channel is coming until the last moment and the second thing is speculation is speculation and nothing more then that.

Then its a rumour and nothing else. As such i feel the mods should change the title to a more accurate title.

So the concrete news is in fact It's NOT coming to Virginmedia. I don't regard it's happening sometime after 2012 as being coming in any sense of the word, indeed the only thing you have confirmed is what we know, VM want Sky Atlantic, but Sky have yet to allow them to have it.

well a quick skim through the sky guide tells me it aint ,
7.30 ER
8.00 Anthony Bourdain
9.00 big love
10.20 The Wire
11.30 strike back project dawn
12.30 The borgias
1.45 big love
2.05 big love
and then the previous is repeated
all of these are repeats and i beleive most if not all have been cancelled .Im not saying it's all crap just nothing new and the likes of seinfeld and ER have been repeated ad nauseum in VM

Most pay TV channels are the same this is why I choose a PVR so as I can schedule my box to record the good stuff I want and cut out the dross , I'm glad for shows being repeated I never watched Seinfeld so have set a series link up , Project Dawn was a good show which I'm sure plenty missed when it was first aired , if you go through your planner you'll see you probably only watch a handful of shows from each channel , Atlantic is no different in the sense it has repeats however it also has its fair share of award winning shows also.

Re: At last Sky Atlantic concrete news [Not] coming to Virginmedia [Anytime Soon]
Well when i left sky the agent told me that atlantic was available to vm but they wanted it on the cheap and sky will only be offering future channels in sd.hd versions are going to be sky exclusives, seeing what as happened recently with f1 and the lack of ssnews looks like what i was told is indeed true.

I accept all that ,i'm just saying that there seems to be a lot of 'excitement' about a tv channel that only shows repeats most of which(not all) are or have been or will be available on other channels on the VM network, just seems a fuss over nothing to me
