banned from virgin media support forum for complaining about 3dondemand fault
Have just been banned from Virgin media support forum for pulling them up about inconsistencies , errors , and blatant lies in regards to their dealing with the ongoing 3d ondemand fault. According to them now it is a problem with Tecknika and Bush TVs not reconising 1080i 3d signals. No mention of LG,Sony, panasonic etc. I pointed out the fact that the TVs had no problem before September so it cant be that they are not picking up the 1080i 3d signal and that this was just the latest in a long list of excuses for the problem and have been promtly banned

Re: banned from virgin media support forum for complaining about 3dondemand fault
Well if you spoke like that I'm not surprised.
It's a known issue with a couple of brands such as Technika.
It's also being worked on to fix ASAP.

Re: banned from virgin media support forum for complaining about 3dondemand fault
You have my sympathies. The thread has been made aware of your banning :-
http://community.virginmedia.com/t5/...734177/page/16
Unless they've removed that too now (!)
Hopefully someone else will take up the issue.
I don't have a 3D tv, but am not happy about there latest TiVo downgrade. I have to keep posting because like you we're getting no official response to questions. No doubt my ban will come soon too. Not the way to solve things VM.

Re: banned from virgin media support forum for complaining about 3dondemand fault
It's not totally Virgin's fault though that the tv manufacturers haven't supported the 1080i format for 3D surely?

Re: banned from virgin media support forum for complaining about 3dondemand fault
Looking at the thread concerned I think that most forums would ban or at very least infract anyone who kept repeating the same question over and over again.. They might be the official VM forum but that doesn't mean that they have to put up with what most would consider abusive posting.. If someone acted like that over the phone they'd get the phone put down on them...
There are ways of asking a question and getting answers, that was not one of them..

Oh I don't know, think it's quite effective if you're not getting a response. It did make them respond. The 'broken record' is a recognised assertiveness technique.
Assuming that Mr Mckenzie wasn't a naughty boy and sweared/was abusive, think they've just tried to silence him. Thankfully this forum is more enlightened.
Welcome to the forum Mr Mckenzie !

The issue is being worked on and should have a fix around mid-late Feb.

I hate the way some people think it's acceptable to rant and shout on the official forum. They just make themselves look silly.
Posting everyday won't fix it any quicker either. a simple update request once a week at tops is acceptable, but not daily abuse?

Indeed as far as i am concerned the argument is lost as soon as the ranting and shouting starts. It just becomes childish and pointless

That's all well and good but good forum management requires some acceptance that some members (lets not forget these are not just members but customers) will be angry and if they are not getting answers they require then why is it such a problem that they ask again? I would.
If indeed the OP was banned for repeating himself, he at most should have been warned and not banned outright.
